Entry for the Richard Serra Museum competition in San Francisco. This design for a museum honoring the work of the renowned artist Richard Serra was conceived around the idea of transforming the spatial experience of one of his iconic sculptures—specifically the Tilted Arc—into inhabitable architecture. The design includes a series of galleries, a lobby, a gift shop, and working studio space for visiting artists. The palette of materials is purposely kept to a minimum, echoing the restrained, industrial aesthetic of Serra's sculptures.
