This chapel design was developed as a competition entry for a site in Santa Barbara, California. The concept was to create a distinctive worship experience for both regular attendees and guests. A key feature of the design was the movement of the cross’s shadow, cast from the roof above, shifting across the sanctuary throughout the day—ensuring that no two occasions felt exactly the same.
